I bring over 30 years of experience in digital transformation and innovation at leading international banks in the City, uniquely including 20 years in the Ward of Bassishaw (Lloyds Banking Group, JP Morgan, MUFG). Currently, I am a Financial Markets Product Manager for Lloyds Banking Group.

I am deeply committed to community and civic engagement. I am a Board member of the City of London Police, founding NED of the Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology and Trustee of the Central Foundation Schools of London. I am proud to be a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers, having been honoured as a Freeman of the City of London in 2018.

My Commitments
  • I will champion reform of the City’s governance, delivering data driven accountable Modern Government powering improved services for all.

  • I will remain visible, available and proactive for the needs of all our businesses and residents.​ I have worked in the Ward for 19 years and lived locally for 27 years.

  • I will promote a sustainable and greener City environment, championing our 2040 Net Zero Plan.

  •  I will continue to support our businesses in the Technology, Pensions, Insurance and Banking industries. Raising key priorities within The Corporation of London and in Government

  • I will champion a broader economic base, one that is truly diverse and socially inclusive, with a vibrant culture.

  •  I will contribute to the regeneration of the Barbican Centre, London Museum, Leadenhall Market and Smithfield.​

  •  I will continue to champion our small businesses and help them with their continued recovery in a world of hybrid working practices.

My Priorities
Environment and Sustainability

The City Corporation has led the country in Carbon Credits, Sustainable Just Transition and Climate Finance but we have so much more work to do. Amongst local authorities, The City of London Corporation has an ambitious plan to achieve net zero by 2040. The City Corporation leads the nation in Sustainability in planning, ensuring materials are reused and all opportunities for refurbishment are considered before permitting new build.

Education and Skills

The City of London Corporation sponsors the top rated City of London Academy Trust, home to 12 schools and colleges in challenged communities outside of the Square Mile. Sponsorships and mentoring is key to releasing these students potential, AI is upending the world of work. I speak and write often to encourage employers to invest in upskilling our workforce so nobody is left behind. The City is blessed with a highly skilled highly innovative workforce. We need to continue investing in our people to ensure our brightest future.

Diversity and Inclusion

I believe in equal opportunities for workers across the City. Our diversity makes us stronger together and resemble the society we serve. I am 1 of 40 Lloyds Banking Group BAME role models nominated for my work with mental health, I was diagnosed with Bipolar II and appreciate the stigma of mental health. Role models are critical to enable people to reach their full potential, whilst promoting a successful work environment.

Technology and Innovation 

A revolution in Financial Services driven by Technology is driving accessible financial services and improved customer experience. I have founded 2 Fintech start-ups and 1 successful exit. I am a founding board member of HM Treasury funded Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technolgy (CFIT) and love lecturing MSc students in Fintech Product Management at City, University of London. London currently hosts 17 of the top 50 Fintech companies in the world, hailed as the global centre of Fintech.

Financial Services Growth Policy

It’s vital to highlight London’s talent and promote the City’s rich and diverse industries. positioning London at the forefront of Professional and Financial Services We must keep the City competitive in order to secure new investment and redefine the City’s role on the global financial stage. I have been a leading advocate for Pensions Reform to drive investment in infrastructure and our high growth businesses.

Residents: The Fabric of our Community

I am committed to addressing the issues that matter most to our community. Residents have expressed concerns to me about anti-social behaviour, drugs, skateboarding, the closure of London Wall and noisy construction. I am a member of the City of London Police Authority Board; I work to ensure your concerns are heard. Residents have also spoken to me about the urban realm and Barbican Renewal. I am a board member of the Culture Mile BID and played a pivotal role in delivering the first £200m for Barbican renewal.

Arts, Music and Culture in City Life

The City Corporation is the third largest patron of the arts in the UK, overseeing and subsidising several important performing arts companies and venues. Notably, the Barbican Centre, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, LSO, London Archive, and London Museum. My 11 year old son and I sing with the LSO Community Choir. The Corporation is backing the renewal of the Barbican Arts centre to ensure a continued world-class venue for performance and musical education. The Corporation and London Mayor are co-funding a spectacular £437m London Museum in West Smithfield .
